“Pressure cookers are a staple of at-home cooking, but we felt the current offerings on the market were lacking something important,” said Mark Rosenzweig, CEO of SharkNinja.
Via HomeWorld Business: Ninja has launched its Foodi pressure cooker, which allows home cooks to also crisp food during the cooking process, according to the company.
The unit features the company’s TenderCrisp technology that allows the user to have the quick cooking and tenderizing benefits but also use the crisping lid to air fry, bake/roast and broil a variety of foods.
According to the company, the TenderCrisp technology uses superheated steam to infuse moisture and flavor into food being cooked. The crisping lid then uses rapid-hot air around the food to provide a crispy exterior.
“We developed the Ninja Foodi, and TenderCrisp technology, to take pressure cooking to a new dimension. Foodi combines almost every kitchen function into one product, and users won’t sacrifice on texture.”
The Foodi is equipped with several cooking functions including pressure, steam, slow cook, dehydrate, air crisp, bake/roast, broil and dehydrate. Suggested retail price is $179.99 for the base product.
